Driven by passion!

Hi all, this is a memorable week for me :)
I reached a day-streak of almost 400 consecutive days in Duolingo and a record of almost 4000 km in walking! For me these are great results because, despite the difficulties of this year, I found the strength to not give up :)
I know these may appear to be non-valuable goals but to me they have a very important meaning. Yesterday I read in a shop the sentence "We do everything driven by passion" and now I will explain to you why these achievements are so meaningful for me.
I started to learn Polish with Duolingo in August 2021. At the beginning it was extremely hard. I was not confident to be able to learn but I continued to practice consistently. In the summer of last year, I took a long break because I was busy with a sports challenge. When I restarted with Duolingo I was surprised to notice that I still remembered a lot of words and so, I got encouraged and this year I completed the entire course as mentioned in a previous post. Even after having left Poland, I did not stop practicing and I am very happy I reached a long day-streak :) It is true that I am still very far from being able to speak Polish clearly but, considering that I do not have great skills for foreign languages, I can be proud of my progress.
Also the result in walking is amazing for me because it clearly shows that having a passion can help to climb mountains :) I walk much more than what it is displayed but these are the kilometers intentionally done and recorded with my Watch. This year, except for 4 days when I was in the hospital in Poland, I walked every single day. I start walking in the early morning and during the day I do as many walks as I can. Incredibly, I did more than 200 km of indoor walks inside the hospitals. I mentioned what my dream was in another post but even after reaching my target for this year, I am still continuing to walk because it is extremely good for my health. I do not care about the speed, but I can see I made a lot of improvements with respect to the first half of the year. And that helps me in building trust in myself :)
So, I would suggest being always happy about your progress, even if it is small. Do not compare your performance with the others but look at what you can achieve everyday if you let the passion drive you :)
I have selected the picture of the castle of my home city because there is a climb to reach it. It is a hard walk for me but every time I reach the top, I feel fulfilled of joy because I have been able to do it!
